Today. The Domaine de la Bessière covers 15 hectares
composed mainly of Saumur-Champigny but also Saumur
Blanc and Saumur Brut. An independent winegrower,
all the wines are matured in the deep tuffeau caves.
Thierry Dézé also does this same with his Saumur Brut.
The vineyard is run with precision, all the vines are trained
on wires, weeded, chemical products are limited, the vines
are kept at a low height, leaf spot is suppressed, the leaves
are thinned out, with a green harvest allowing the
production of the grapes to be controlled.

In 1987 Thierry Dézé rediscovered several types of vines and reintroduced them into his vineyard.
